21bby - Opee Squad

Among the scores of squads within Sando battalion one had been particularly inspired by Asha’s stories of Naboo’s aquatic monsters. Besides the immense Sando, there was the Opee sea killer.

From what Asha told them, Opees were tough a ferocious in their own fight, although smaller than the Sando and often it’s prey. As the war dragged on and the clones grew up, developing their own characters and individualites, they chose the name Opee for their squad. Like the Opee to the Sando, they were smaller, with their place in the battalion, while being fearsome in their own right.

The 10 man squad was down to 9 after the casualties of the Toola campaign.

Sergeant Dux was in command (he had been beside Tara when the night on Toola had been darkest). Silent and serious, with a pronounced sense of duty, he was veteran of the first battle of Geonosis.

Beside him was Corporal Holler, another Geonosian veteran, named for his loud voice, with which he brought the men in line.

Among the troopers were Tumble (who had taken a tumble off his bike at Muunilist) and Frostbite (who had also been at Geonosis, but lost most of his fingers to the frost on Toola, receiving mechno replacements).

There was also Rattles, the heavy weapons wielder, Pilav (named for the Whiphid dish he had taken to), Deka and Sharks, the jokers, and Sam, their medic.

They were a compact unit who knew how to work together and adapt. From when they were first selected for bikers by General Kenobi, to the jetpack drop at Alvorine, and Tundra tracking on Toola.
